Heritage Orchard Preserves Collection 

For this collection we’ve taken a trip to our local heritage orchard to source some wonderful, historic varieties of apple, pear and quince. A selection of chutneys, jams and jellies showcasing the orchard harvest, these make the perfect accompaniments to toasted muffins, roast meats and the cheeseboard.

Homegrown & Handmade – All of our preserves are handmade in small batches in our kitchen in South Cambridgeshire, with fruits and vegetables grown by us in our own ecologically managed garden, foraged from the local hedgerows or sourced from other local, independent producers like us.

Pitmaston Apple Jelly 140g
An amber-hued apple jelly made with Pitmaston Pineapple apples, a yellow-fleshed heritage variety dating to 1745 that has distinct pineapple and honey notes. An ideal condiment for roast dinners, cold cuts or elevating a cheese sandwich!

Ingredients (allergens in Bold): Pitmaston Pineapple apples, Bramley Seedling apples, sugar, cider vinegar (Sulphites)

Spiced Orchard Butter 140g
The Doyenné du Comice pear dates to the 19th century and is well-known for its juicy and aromatic flesh. Here we’ve slowly cooked it down with Pitmaston Pineapple apples and local cider to produce a rich, caramelised spread spiced with cinnamon and allspice. Delicious on hot crumpets and muffins, also makes the perfect winter condiment for rich meats like roast pork or duck.

Ingredients: Comice pears, Pitmaston Pineapple apples, sugar, Discovery apple cider, allspice, cinnamon

Quince Jam 140g
Fruity and tangy, this rich, honeyed jam is a classic accompaniment to the cheeseboard. Made using the whole fruit and cooked slowly to a softer set than the more familiar and firmer quince cheese so that it’s easier to spread from the jar, or eat by the spoonful…

Ingredients: Quince, sugar

Pear Chutney with Balsamic & Bay 140g
The Black Worcester pear, said to have been introduced by the Romans, is a firm cooking variety that retains its shape in this rich and jammy chutney that has a sweetness and depth of flavour from the slow-cooked red onions and balsamic.
